Airties is the most widely deployed provider of Wi-Fi Mesh solutions to operators around the globe. Airties designs and develops software and hardware that enables seamless wireless integration at the touch of a button, increased wireless speeds, and coverage throughout subscribers’ entire homes. The comprehensive product portfolio includes Wi-Fi mesh extenders, wireless set-top boxes and cloud based Wi-Fi monitoring and optimization systems.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
 
Airties is seeking a Data Scientist to work in the Cloud Operations Team based in Istanbul. The mission is to leverage the collected data from Wi-Fi devices and transform it into pragmatic, actionable insights across a variety of core business areas including R&D engineering, customer support, troubleshooting and marketing/business development.
 
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
 
· BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or a related discipline is required, MS, MEng, or PhD in similar disciplines is preferred

· At least 3 years experience in relevant roles

· Experience working with SQL is required

· Experience working in Linux environment

· Experience with handling and managing large datasets

· Excellent Linux shell or python skills for processing large datasets

· Proficiency with data visualization, reporting and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI)

· Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), Azure, Google

· Experience with other scripting and compiled languages is a plus

· Excellent spoken and written English, ability to conduct technical meetings in English with international employees and customers

· Ability to learn new subjects quickly and thoroughly

· Ability to work independently

· Quality oriented personality, good communication skills

· Desire to work in fast-paced, team-oriented, dynamic international environment

· Familiarity with GDPR concepts and working on GDPR-sensitive data
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
· Collect data analysis and reporting requirements from worlwide Airties customers

· Generate customer specific and generic reports from the data collected on the Airties cloud based Wi-Fi monitoring, management and optimization system using a variety of reporting and BI tools

· Work with development team to automate and integrate reports into core product as needed

· Run analytics on the data collected on the Airties cloud based Wi-Fi monitoring, management and optimization system, as specified by customer and internal requirements

· Flexible working hours are expected due to frequent interaction with international customers
