International student activity coordinator will be responsible for determining, supplying, and reporting the needs and activities of international students during university, election, settlement and university life. To ensure this, He / She will carry out his / her studies in coordination with the department it is affiliated with, academic staff and students and he / she will be responsible for the fulfillment of other duties that will be requested by the unit he / she is affiliated with during the term of the job within the scope of the job description.
 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

  • International student activity coordinator, coordinating the activities of international students, ensuring that the activities organized by these students are successful,
  • Managing the orientation process of international students newly enrolled in the university and dealing with their problems and demands,
  • To assist international students in dormitory settlements upon their request,
  • Receiving and evaluating club applications at the beginning of the academic year, following club dues fees and other club revenues, supporting to the financial unit for the systematic processing of club budgets and expenditures and controlling them,
  • Receiving, evaluating, approving club activity requests and supervising events,
  • Conducting and completing the election affairs of the clubs, follow the club activities’ compliance with the instructions, otherwise terminate the activity of the student club,
  • Determining the student council selection process, dealing with its announcement and applications and completing the process,
  • Informing students and / or parents about the activities and services of the unit during university preference / presentation and registration periods,
  • To support the preparation of periodic or annual reports and tables in line with the demands of senior management,
  • Supporting unit web page update studies (both Turkish and English)
  • Visiting all campuses periodically in the Fall and Spring semesters and planning activities by contacting students and academic staff.

    Basic Qualifications:
     

  • To have university graduate (preferably to be a graduate of the faculty of communication and / or faculty of social sciences),
  • Having at least 2 years of experience related to a same or similar duty,
  • Preferably to be an international student for at least 1 year,
  • To have advanced knowledge of English.
