We are currently looking for a General Accountant in İstanbul to join our Global Services team. This position will focus on Danfoss and its subsidiaries’ finance operations.
 
Responsibilites:
 
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
 
Processing monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities,
Involving in closing activities of fixed assets, cost objects, ledger closing, and all GL-related posting activities,
Controlling AP/AR and GL transactions with the shared center team,
Analyzing and correcting all cost centers of the company on daily basis,
Tracking and recognizing import accounting, e-invoice, and e-ledger transactions,
Managing and taking necessary actions on GR/IR,
Supporting external auditors, tax consultants, tax office and other institutions,
Providing data for tax accounts for declaration,
Preparing BA/BS,
Supporting subsidiaries on internal/external accounting and other finance topics,
Supporting shared service team on local bank-related activities,
Monitoring Inhouse Bank related activities for group AP and treasury functions,
Coordinating Concur and expense claim process with all stakeholders,
Managing AR team activities on the Direct Debit Collection process,
Supporting customers, business units, and other departments in accounting and financial topics,
Monitoring and analyzing reconciliation activities for customers to run vendor reconciliations,
Managing payroll deductions with the HR team,
Preparing Cash Flow forecast activities for the entity,
 
Background&Skills:
 
The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
 
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field,
3-4 years of experience in a similar position,
Experience in a multinational company, with an Accounting, Finance, and Tax background,
Preferably experience in SAP ERP system,
Good understanding of local law (especially tax laws) and accounting standards,
Proficient in MS Office applications,
Meets the deadlines on time,
Sense of responsibility while being an open and honest team member,
Flexible team player with strong communication skills,
Native in Turkish, fluent in English,
